Buikhommel (‘Fries model’/Noardske Balke) met drie bourdonsnaren en twee melodiesnaren. Een melodiesnaar heeft onderliggende diatonische houten frets met een toonbereik van twee octaven. De andere melodiesnaar gebruikt dezelfde frets maar heeft tussenliggende frets voor de halve tonen, waardoor een chromatische onderverdeling ontstaat.
